The property in brief

Vignobles Baylet are situated 20 km in the south-east of Bordeaux, on the gravely slopes of Sadirac, in the region Entre-Deux-Mers. Attracted by the great quality of the soils and the well oriented slopes of its vineyard, Henry Baylet and his son Michel acquire Landerau in 1959. They undertook rapidly extensive work on this family domain. At the beginning of the 80's, Michel Baylet acquired a second property called "L'Hoste Blanc". New works were undertaken to achieve a beautiful vineyard of 29 hectares, of which 12 hectares are for red wine. Bruno Baylet, grandson of Henri and son of Michel, entered the property in 1988. Today, the vineyard of this family domain makes in total 80 hectares. They are practicing a reasonable agriculture which respects the environment and the rows are permanently planted with grass. Modern measures are used to produce wines of great quality. Château Mouquet is the second wine of Château L'Hoste Blanc. The quality of its wines is regularly rewarded by medals.
